So, the best advice I could give you is to seek counsel from a full time loan officer for prequalification. I can recommend some favorites and have many stories of lenders who are not on this list. Getting a loan is a process. It is work to gather the paperwork necessary and manage the forms and requirements of banks these days. Stay focused and don't be distracted by potential overwhelm. Fortunately, with technology and scanning and attaching saved files to emails you can make this procedure tolerable and eco-friendly. Getting a prequalification is not a pre-approval. There are some lenders who actually will approve you on the spot depending on assets and willingness to move funds to their institution for other accounts. Ask me for referrals.
